After School Events Support Specialist

Job Description

The After School Events Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles at and around Redwood Day School during peak after-school hours, supervising curbside drop-off and pick-up, and managing the check-in/check-out process for after-school programs and events. The After School Events Support Specialist works closely with the Director of Facilities & Operations, Director of Auxiliary Programs, Facilities staff, and X-Care (after-school) staff to implement after-school pick-up, traffic, and parking expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the after-school student pick-up process, enforcing School protocols and maintaining relationships with parents & community members
  • Provide front desk coverage during after-school hours, managing the check-in and check-out process and answering visitor questions
  • Direct and control traffic flow outside of the School according to the School’s policies and procedures during athletic events, X-Care programming, on-campus community events, and other heavy traffic times
  • As needed, provide support to Facilities staff and other School employees in event setup
  • Help to ensure the safety of all students and visitors on campus by following all School policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and Operations, Facilities staff, and Director of Auxiliary Programs and X-Care (after school staff) in executing campus protocols
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Schedule and Hours
This is a part-time (50%), non-exempt position beginning immediately. The after-school schedule is Monday-Friday 2:30-6:30 pm, with an occasional need for hours beyond 6:30PM. Additional hours may be available during in-service days and school breaks. The anticipated pay scale is between $21.52 and $29.70 /hour depending on experience.
